What is it?

It is the most sophisticated, precise, and minimally invasive technology tool in dentistry.

How does it work?

The laser uses the power of light to treat oral soft-tissue with absolute precision. Soft tissue is actually vaporized and modified without bleeding and little need for anesthetic.

What are some of the advantages to you-the patient?

No other instrument available has its precise tissue sculpting ability for expert gum contouring. Furthermore, the laser is the least traumatic to soft tissues of all other lasers, which means less bleeding and less post-operative pain and less healing time.

On a personal note, I would like to extend an invitation to all of you to a very special mass my father will be the celebrant for. It is called the "Lilac" mass, and it is being organized by the dental society, in honor of all dentists. It will take place at the Holy Name Cathedral in downtown Chicago on April 22 at 9:30 a.m.. My dad is truly honored to be asked to preside over this wonderful inaugural event. Hope to see many of you there!
