Smile File -Winter 2006/2007
At The Meyer Dental Group we are constantly striving to better your dental experience
at our office. Whether it be improving our service with more patient amenities, advancing our technology to do better, more advanced procedures, or educating our staff further to better communicate new dental knowledge, we want to go the extra mile for you, our valued patients! Early this year we were very happy to convert to digital radiography. It offers you x-rays that are faster and more comfortable with less radiation exposure. We also became a certified provider for Invisalign®, offering patients a new alternative to orthodontics.
Over a year ago we welcomed with great joy, Kelly to our dental team. Kelly came to us with well-rounded experience learned from an Associates degree in Liberal Arts, Early Education certificates, and work experience at two other dental offices, one in Elk Grove and one in Glenview. Kelly expresses, "After my first interview here ... I knew it was perfect! I love my co-workers, employers and patients!" And the feelings are definitely mutual!
Her first year Kelly worked fantastically hand-in-hand with Dr. Tom and Lucy as a dental assistant. She expanded her hours of continuing education in dentistry by receiving her certification in coronal polishing, placing sealants, and first aid and CPR training.
Kelly now takes on a new role in the office, by becoming our Patient Care Coordinator. Kelly's first priority is partnering with each and every patient who needs care, and helping them through the entire treatment planning process from beginning to end. Treatment care decisions should always be specifically designed around each individual's health needs, time constraints, financial abilities, and personal desires. Kelly skillfully can help you through each of these areas of concern to ensure that your treatment care is done efficiently, effectively and stress-free. It's important to remember that all of us here at The Meyer Dental Group are your partners in delivering the highest quality oral health care for you and your family.
Invisalign straightens crowded, protruding, or too far apart teeth without metal braces. First, we take an impression of your teeth, then' with the impression, the Invisalign lab uses computer technology and your smile prescription to create a series of clear, biocompatible aligners. These will move your teeth in tiny, comfortable increments. You wear each invisible aligner for about two weeks before graduating to the next ...until you have the smile you want.
